Veterans Sustainable Agriculture Training - Class 6/13 - 7/22

Our new class has gathered and the journey begins for 12 new students to find their way into Sustainable Organic Agriculture.  We are excited to be a part of the journey.

First Speaker today is Eric Larson, from the San Diego Farm Bureau  who will explain the many benefits of being a member of the Farm Bureau.  They are very active and really support farmers.

Second speaker, Mike Hanes who graduated in February, will share his powerpoint and business plan with this class to give them the example of his completion.   Also Mike's hot sauce DANG!!! has made it to New York where it was given to Sam Kass the White House Chef!  And to the Food Editor Cia at Fast Company magazine.

Mike's hot sauce hopefully will be in Whole Foods this summer.

we'll keep you posted on his success and the class progression.

  1. Aloha, I watched a segment about your farm on CNN today and was pleased to see the Whole Food buyer there, hopefully we will be able to purchase your herbs all over the US soon. I love cooking with fresh herbs, and in Europe I was able to purchase little boxes of frozen fresh herbs that I could sprinkle over my salad or pasta or whatever. I inquired a while ago with Whole Food and they do carry frozen herbs but more like a pesto kind, I am looking for chopped up frozen herbs loose in a little box that I can keep in my freezer with Parsley, Dill, Chives, etc. Wouldn't that be a great idea? Well, just my five cents. Keep up the good work and thank you for your service to this country.
    Aloha

  2. Just saw on Fox News a report about Archis Acres. I want to buy some Dang It's Good hot sauce. Do you sell such items and other products online? God bless you for beating your swords into ploughshares.
